About Cooper Agency Thirty Clients.
Not Three Hundred.
A search and web firm that caps its client list on purpose, so every engagement gets senior attention. Led by Tony Cooper, based in Telford and working with established businesses across the UK.
Tony Cooper, principal. Telford, Shropshire.
Most firms grow by adding clients until each one is a line on a report. Cooper Agency was built the other way.
We take thirty clients at most. That is a capacity decision, not a marketing line. Thirty is the number at which we can know each client's business and industry, what is ranking and what is slipping, and still spend the time doing the work rather than managing it.
Beyond that number, attention thins. A firm can hide that behind account managers and monthly reports. We would rather not take the client.
When you call, you reach the work itself. Every engagement is led by Tony Cooper, who knows your keywords and what changed on your homepage last week.
Tony has written about why the firm is built this way, and why a small room is where the work stays whole.
Where the Firm Comes From
Tony Cooper started in sales, as a timber merchant at 18, and learned early that a business lives on what it sells. He was building websites in HTML before most businesses had one, and registered storebuilder.co.uk in 1999. The company still owns it.
Every platform shift since has taught the same lesson. Joomla, WordPress, Wix and Shopify have each come and changed the tools. What makes a website work for the business behind it has outlasted every one of them, and that is what the firm sells.
Today the work runs on ingeniculture: Claude Code, with Monica as the instrument behind the work, on a Django and Astro platform built in Telford. It ships in hours what used to take weeks, and every change it makes to a client's site is on the record.
What You Actually Get
Your Website Comes with a Receipt
Every change we make to your site is recorded: timestamped, described and searchable. If your rankings move, nobody shrugs and blames an algorithm update. We open the history and show you exactly what changed and when. Not a theory. A receipt. WordPress can't do this.
Monday Is Service Day
Every Monday, every client gets work. Not a status email, and not a report full of graphs nobody reads, but actual work: a new page, an SEO fix, a content update or a technical improvement. Something that didn't exist on Friday exists on Monday. The report is the receipt for the work, never a substitute for it.
The Work Compounds
The system behind the work, built on Claude Code, builds on every previous session. When work starts on your site, it already knows your business, your voice and your history. Nothing starts from scratch on a Monday; each week builds on everything that came before.
Your Budget Goes Into the Work
The budget you set goes into the website, the search work and the measurement, and every change it pays for is on the record.
The Thinking Is Public
Tony Cooper writes down the methodology, the system and the principles at tonycooper.co.uk. It is a working document, not a portfolio. Read it before you call, and you will know how we think before the first conversation.
Tony Cooper, Principal
Tony leads every engagement. He has come through corporate failures, platform shifts and economic crashes with one lesson intact: adapt, but never compromise on what actually works.
When David See of Jana Helps first called, his website was costing him money instead of making it. That is where most engagements begin: a business that is good at what it does, invisible online, and in need of the work being done rather than reported on. From Telford, the firm does that work for businesses across Shropshire and the UK, on Shopify, on Astro and in search.

What clients say about the work, in their own words.
"I originally reached out to Tony to help with SEO but unfortunately my website crashed to a point where I thought it was beyond repair. I was panicking and didn't know what to do when Tony asked if I would allow him to help me recover my website. After a very long few weeks I got a message from Tony telling me my website is back up and running."
