Last week I launched a new website for Jana Helps, a cleaning company serving Reading and Berkshire.
She was on Wix. Paying £31 a month for a small business website that loaded slowly, looked like every other Wix template, and she couldn’t leave without starting from scratch.
Now she’s on janahelps.co.uk - sub-second loading, professional design, online booking, and she owns the code.
Open it on your phone. Watch how fast it loads. That’s what £49 a month gets you.
What Jana Got
- A full-width hero with professional photography
- I built domestic and office cleaning service pages
- I set up online booking for one-off cleans
- A contact form that actually works
- A sticky call button on mobile
- I added service areas covering 10+ locations
- Sub-second loading, anywhere in the world
The infrastructure is Astro and Netlify - the same stack that powers major tech companies. No database to hack, no plugins to update, no monthly “optimisation” needed.
What Jana Stopped Paying For
The Wix tax: £31/month for a site that loads in 3+ seconds and looks like one of those dreary templates you’ve seen a hundred times. Plus the invisible cost - every slow-loading page loses visitors before they even see what you offer. When you compare that to what £49/month actually buys, the value gap is staggering.
Platform lock-in: Wix doesn’t let you export your site. Want to leave? You start again from scratch. That’s not a hosting platform, that’s a trap.
The template look: You know a Wix site when you see one. So do your customers.
The Proof
I’m not asking you to take my word for it.
Open janahelps.co.uk on your phone right now. Count how fast it loads. Look at the design. Try the contact form.
Then open your own website and compare.
That gap - the speed difference, the professional feel, the mobile experience - is what £49 a month fixes.
Want Something Like This?
If you’re stuck on Wix, Squarespace, or an old WordPress site that costs too much and loads too slowly, there’s a better way. This is what the alternative looks like in practice.
Reply and tell me:
- What does your business do?
- What platform are you on now?
- What’s the one thing you want visitors to do when they land?
I’ll tell you honestly whether this approach fits your situation - here’s how to get an accurate quote before we even speak. If it fits, I can have you live in a week. If it doesn’t, I’ll tell you that too.
No setup fee. No contract. Cancel anytime.

P.S. Jana’s old Wix site is gone now. But if you want to see what Wix looks like compared to what I build, just compare any Wix or WordPress site to janahelps.co.uk. The difference speaks for itself.
